The idea of the project is to do some internet search on a topic to later integrate voice, text and images using the web-tools and applications you know and/or new ones plus the contents you learned in this class with the purpose of presenting the work of an architect or the characteristics of a city or a public space.

A. Favorite Architect Project:
Description:
In pairs or individually, you will do some internet search to find out about the life and work of an architect of your choice to later present your findings to the rest of the class. It is important to notice and describe how your favorite architect treats the architectural elements and effects we have discussed this term (Horizontal Circulation, Vertical Circulation, Rhythm, Acoustics, Color, Light & Texture). It might also be a good idea to include some relevant/amazing facts about the architect’s life and work.
Tips:
You can present how the architect has dealt with the different elements and effects we have studied throughout his work.
You can comment on certain aspects of the architect’s life that have influenced his/her use of the elements and effects studied.
You can develop how the use of these elements helped in his/her professional practice and achievements.
You can show how the architect integrated these elements and effects in his/her multiple designs.
You can show how the architect used the elements and effects in only one of his/her projects.
PROCEDURE: Part I / Content:
1. Find out about the life and work of the architect you chose or about the city or public place you selected.
2. Look for images, pictures, photographs, sketches, drawings, drafts, maps, blueprints, etc to illustrate your work.
3. Describe how the architectural elements and effects we studied in ID2-126 have been used by your architect or in your city/public space.
Part II / Media:
1. You can design photoblogs, blogs, wikies, power point slides, take photos, make videos, do screenshots, etc, etc, etc to present your project.
2. Add text to your images
3. Record your voice to introduce the information in the video, slide, PPT, wiki, blog, etc….
Tips for the Presentation of your work
You can present your work in the form of a video if you have a camcorder, edit it using Windows Movie Maker and upload it to Youtube.
You can present your work in the form of a video by using your photographs, screenshots or PPT slides using Windows Movie Maker and upload it to Youtube.
You can present your work in the form of a wiki using PB wiki or Wikispaces.
You can present your work in Splashcast in the form of a Photoblog.
You can present your Final project in the form of a blog just like we did with the Collaborative Blog in Motime.
You can use Photostory to present your project in the form of a photoblog.
Criteria for the Evaluation and Grading of your Projects:
§ The Content of your Project is a plus!
§ Organization, creativity and originality will be highly considered.
§ The use of different resources and web-tools is really important.
§ The use of Vocabulary, Grammar, Pronunciation, and Fluency counts.
§ Neatness and Clarity will also be considered.
§ Your Effort will be definitely taken into account!!!
